About Aniar Cookery School

Learn to cook from a Michelin Starred chef at Aniar Cookery School.  Founded by JP McMahon, head chef and owner of Aniar Restaurant in Galway City, Aniar Cookery School offers a range of short courses and day workshops to explore a number of cooking techniques across a broad range of food types including tapas, Italian Cooking, baking, Japanese cooking and, naturally, contemporary Irish cooking. 

Day workshops last from 10am to 5pm whilst the longer courses take place one evening per week over a 6 week period. A fantastic gift for the foodie in your life.

'Classes are led by chef patron JP McMahon. JP has 12 years of teaching experience for both adult and presenting children's workshops that promote food provenance and better eating. A wonderful element of the classes (6-week and one day) is that when all the cooking has been done, the students sit down with JP to enjoy what's been prepared and have a chat over a glass of wine. The classes are a great way to learn how to cook and engage with current trends. Classes include demonstrations and hands-on activities for students to gain confidence in the kitchen.
