Dublin Airport Elevates Luxury Travel with Expanded Platinum VIP Service

Dublin Airport has unveiled a major enhancement to its Platinum VIP private terminal, increasing its capacity to meet soaring demand from discerning business and private travellers. With the addition of four new suites, the terminal now boasts a total of ten, allowing it to accommodate an additional 26,000 passengers annually, bringing total capacity to nearly 66,000 guests.

Tucked discreetly beyond Terminal 1, Platinum VIP offers an unrivalled 24/7 service, including private parking, expedited security screening, and direct chauffeur transfers to and from aircraft. The expansion also introduces the Sean Lemass Room, a high-spec boardroom designed for video conferencing, offering executives a refined space to conduct business while in transit.

Ronan O’Donoghue, General Manager of Platinum VIP, noted the terminal’s critical role during the pandemic: “COVID highlighted just how indispensable Platinum VIP is for business continuity. Executives relied on us not just for speed and discretion, but as a functional space to do business.”

The new suites are a luxurious blend of history and contemporary design. 25 archival photographs celebrate Dublin Airport’s illustrious past, featuring visits from John F. Kennedy, Muhammad Ali, Cary Grant, Princess Grace of Monaco, and Pope John Paul II. Bespoke furniture by Finglas artisan Tom Delaney and curated artwork from Gormley’s Art Gallery complement the sophisticated interiors, while new chefs expand the terminal’s gourmet offerings.

Kenny Jacobs, CEO of daa, added: “Platinum’s expansion isn’t just a nod to Ireland’s rich aviation heritage—it’s a reflection of our passion for exceptional hospitality. We are celebrating 85 years of connecting Ireland to the world, while providing passengers a truly top-class, distinctly Irish experience.”

With its seamless combination of luxury, discretion, and operational excellence, Platinum VIP positions Dublin Airport as a leader in private, high-end travel — catering to international delegations, corporate executives, and private individuals seeking an exclusive journey through Ireland’s gateway to the world.
