Homestead Cottage – Charming, Michelin-Starred Restaurant

Homestead Cottage is a charming, produce-led restaurant on the west coast of Ireland offering Michelin-starred cuisine in the wonderful surroundings of a 200-year old cottage.

Accomplished chef Robbie McCauley (experience in Edinburgh's Michelin-starred 'Number One' and Kilkenny's Michelin-starred Campagne) and wife Sophie met whilst working in Gregan's Castle, County Clare.  Having fallen in love with the area, the couple opened Homestead Cottage in 2023 and remarkably achieved their own first Michelin star within a matter of months.

Their locally sourced menu changes on a daily basis but with the Atlantic Ocean so close, expect the menu to contain a generous dose of [very] fresh fish together with meat and dairy products from farms within the local area.

From The Homestead Cottage website:

“After falling in love with Clare in 2019, we decided to make Doolin our home. After many years working in hospitality, we finally have decided to take the leap of faith and open our own restaurant.

We proudly work hand to hand with local farmers, growers and artisan food producers to highlight the great food that comes from this area.

Our menu changes daily as to what is fresh, locally available and best in season”.
