'The oldest established Falconry School in Ireland offers you the chance to fly a Harris hawk around the spectacular grounds of Ashford Castle in a one hour private Hawk Walk. Within minutes of arriving, you will have a hawk on your glove and be setting off to fly your hawk or hawks in the gardens and woodlands surrounding Ashford Castle.

You will never forget the moment when your hawk first swoops down from a tree and lands on your gloved fist. Flying a hawk is an experience of a lifetime.

A Private One Hour Hawk Walk

Ireland's School of Falconry specialise in one hour private Hawk Walks where YOU fly our Harris hawks. Our aim is to share with you the pleasure and excitement of falconry, a fascination that has enthralled people for 4,000 years.

Your instructor will introduce you to your hawk and, within minutes, you will be setting off around the magnificent woodlands to fly your hawk, or team of two hawks, free. As you fly the hawks, your Falconer will explain about the hawks exceptional eyesight, their speed and agility and also about the individual hawks that you are flying, their characters and temperaments and how easy or difficult they were to train. All of the hawks have been trained by ourselves. They are part of our family and we never sell them'.
