About Lakeview Single Estate Irish Whiskey

On the shores of Lough Leane, Wayward Irish Spirits produce Lakeview Single Estate Irish Whiskey.

Their grain to glass approach involves growing their own barley on the Lakeview Estate, triple distilling the malted grain and then laying down the single pot still spirit to mature in the estate's special microclimate.

In 2024, Wayward Irish Spirits plan to open 'Ireland's most beautifully situated premium single estate distillery'.

From Lakeview Single Estate Irish Whiskey Website:

'Very unusually among Irish Whiskey makers, we grow our own Barley on the Estate – here in the Hilly Field with Carrauntoohil mountain as its stunning background. This is small batch malted then distilled for us by our production partner into Pot Still Spirit, that returns to the Estate's special microclimate for maturation.

We laid down of the first casks of our Lakeview Single Estate Whiskey in March 2019, made from our 2018 harvest and they're already impressing the Whiskey community with their maturity and taste. To celebrate its' 3 year 'coming of age', we hope to release a few bottles in March 2022.

Alongside this, we are working towards opening Ireland's most beautifully situated Premium Single Estate Grain to Glass Distillery onsite in 2024, next to our barley fields.
