'Lough Cutra Castle is a private family home on vast private lands on a private lake. The Castle can accommodate up to eighteen guests in nine luxurious bedrooms. An exclusive but central location on Ireland's Western seaboard in Gort, County Galway, Lough Cutra was designed by John Nash who worked on Buckingham Palace.

Location

Lough Cutra Castle and Estate are only forty minutes drive by motorway from Shannon Airport. Due to its easily accessible location, Lough Cutra is ideal for family gatherings, friendly weekends away or summer holidays. We are convenient to International and European guests as well as our domestic visitors. Airport pick up and drop off can be arranged for all arriving guests, although we encourage car hire as there is much to see and do on the West Coast of Ireland.

Lough Cutra is the perfect location. Only five minutes' drive from Gort, home to the legendary Coole Park and Kilmacduagh Monastery. Lough Cutra is approximately 45 minutes from Galway city and approximately one hour's drive from the splendid Cliffs of Moher on the Wild Atlantic Way.
