From Sidereus Watches Website:

'Sidereus Watches – limited edition timepieces designed and hand built in Ireland

We design and hand-build limited edition watches in rural Ireland. It is here that we find inspiration in the surrounding landscapes, where the legacy of our ancestors and the natural world combine in a beautiful adventure than crosses time.

Our timepieces celebrate the origins of horology and the marking of time in Ireland for over 5,000 years at at Brú na Bóinne. It was here that the earliest farming communities built vast stone monuments, like Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth, to record the sidereal year. Today, we continue the long tradition of marking time in every watch we design and build.

The name Sidereus comes from Sidus, the Latin for star. Sidereus is also a reference to the sidereal year, the time taken for the Sun, when observed from the Earth, to return to the same position in the sky in relation to the stars.'
