Tourism Ireland hosts first ever US Luxury Summit

California summit showcased 14 Irish companies in the luxury sector

For its inaugural US Luxury Summit, Tourism Ireland is showcasing 14 Irish companies operating in the luxury sector.   

Designed as a series of networking events in Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara, Newport Beach and San Diego, the Irish contingent – comprised of representatives from the likes of Ashford Castle, Cashel Palace (Ireland's newest five star hotel) and Powerscourt Distillery (full list below) – will meet 'leading buyers and decision-makers who specialise in high-end luxury travel from the United States'.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “Our inaugural US Luxury Summit in southern California this week is an excellent platform for Tourism Ireland and our partners to highlight the superb luxury tourism offering available right around the island of Ireland – from our boutique hotels, castles and luxury resorts to our rich culture and heritage, and not forgetting our world-class golf and superb culinary scene.

“The luxury sales summit offers a really good opportunity to increase awareness of the island of Ireland among the influential luxury travel buyers based in this part of the United States and to secure a greater share of their valuable business for 2023 and beyond.”

With American tourists generating €1.6bn for the Irish economy in 2019, the importance of continuing to nurture and develop the U.S. market is paramount for the luxury sector in Ireland.
