Waterford Whisky – Single Malt Whisky

Waterford, County Waterford

About Waterford Whisky

Waterford Whisky's terroir-driven, Single Malt Whisky is influenced by the '…legendary Grand Vins of Bordeaux and Grande Marques of Champagne'.

Eschewing the modern tendency towards homogenous products manufactured at scale, Waterford Whisky is focused on traditional methods to create flavour-filled whisky without the need for additives and chill filtration.  The distillery's focus is on Single Farm Origin releases, sourcing barley from a small number of farmers in the South East of Ireland.

From Waterford Whisky's Website:

“Where vineyard inspiration, modern brewing & traditional distillation meet to create the most naturally flavoursome single malt. A whisky rich in artisanal bakery aromas & a luxurious mouthfeel, generous in flavour, persistent in finish.

“Whisky has become homogenised, an industrially manufactured product, propped up with additives and finishes. Yet it used to be authentic, localised agricultural produce – using barley, the most flavoursome cereal in the world. We go back to the start, explore the thousands of barley flavour compounds – and let terroir talk and natural flavour shine.”
